Your Holiday
Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you accept:
the risks and hazards of such a holiday, including the dangers inherent in cycling either on the road or off the road, the dangers inherent in the other activities included in our other holidays, the dangers of foreign travel, especially to countries that are less developed, are politically unstable or are subject to natural hazards, and any risks that result from (amongst other things) changes of local politics, adverse weather conditions, the poor condition of the highways, border restrictions, terrorism and disease; and the potential for (amongst other things) delays, alterations, loss or damage to property, inconvenience and discomfort.
You should satisfy yourself before booking that you have researched your destination, made an informed decision to travel, and taken all necessary precautions.
There is a natural need to be flexible in a holiday of this kind. The day to day agenda and ultimate aim of the holiday is taken as an objective and not as a contractual obligation. It is a fundamental condition of booking that you accept this flexibility, and acknowledge that delays and alterations and their subsequent results, such as inconvenience, discomfort, or disappointment, are possible.
If after departure we are unable to provide a significant proportion of the services we had agreed to aim to provide as part of our contract with you, we will act reasonably to make suitable alternative arrangements.

ur responsibility does not commence until the appointed time at the designated meeting point. If you fail to arrive there at the appointed time for whatever reason, we will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by you to meet up with the group.
Any information given by the Company in regard to climate, clothing, special equipment, topography etc is done so in good faith and must be rechecked by you prior to relying on it.
No refund or compensation will be made or given for any unused hotel accommodation, services or features of the holiday where unused at your discretion or as a result of your action/inaction.

We cannot be held responsible, unless as a direct result of negligence, for any mishap to yourself or to your property.
Other than this liability which we have accepted, we will not be liable for any losses that you suffer as a result of any breach of our agreement except those losses which are reasonably foreseeable to both of us at the time we enter into the contract with you.
We shall not be held liable for any damages caused by the total, or partial failure to provide your holiday if such failure is:

In addition, since the services are provided to you as a consumer, we cannot accept responsibility for any losses related to any business of yours such as lost data, lost profits, loss of business, loss of contracts, loss of goodwill or other business loss that you may incur as a result of any breach of our agreement.
We will also not be liable for direct damage or loss of any nature caused, or contributed to, by any defect in or failure (whether partial or complete) of any travel services not provided by us, and which we could not reasonably be expected to be responsible for.
Any complaints regarding the holiday should be made to the tour leader and/ or local representative who will normally take the appropriate action. If at the end of the tour, you feel that your complaint was not dealt with properly and were not satisfied with the response, you must notify us of your complaint in writing within 14 days of the actual completion date of the tour. We will try to agree a settlement with you.

Please note that all information given about our holidays, whether in our brochure, on our website or otherwise, is intended merely to present a general idea of the holiday. Information is correct to the best of our knowledge. You will be provided with an itinerary for your holiday giving details such as, the type of accommodation used, what is included in the price, passport and visa requirements, and health formalities. Changes in all of these items may be made at any time and we will notify you of any changes that we become aware of as soon as we are reasonably able to do so. For most holidays we publish detailed Trip Dossiers which contain up-to-date definitive information about the holiday, and which will be sent on request or can be downloaded from your account area on our website. You should ensure that you are fully aware of the contents of the Trip Dossier before booking. In all cases the tour dossier should be considered as more up to date than the brochure. The information and conditions relating to your holiday (and extension/ options where applicable) contained in the Trip Dossier will be deemed to be part of the contract, and you should therefore read them carefully.

Enjoying the countryside and meeting the locals while cycling would not be possible without a proper bike .

If your body type requires you to ride any kind of custom bike, take yours’ along.

If the tour is strenuous or involves many miles of hill climbing, chances are you’ll be

most happy with your own bike, especially if it is a highend bicycle.

If the terrain is questionable and the bike is likely to take a beating, you may want to leave your highend bike at home and use a rental.

Here is where we appear . SITNICA offers comfortable hybrid bikes and mountainbikes .

Our HYBRID bikes are available in a variety of sizes should you prefer not to bring your own. They are equipped with 27 gears, a rear carrier, a rack pack and a water bottle . Advance bookings are essential. If renting, please inform us of the size and style of bike you use at home. You may like to bring your own saddles and pedals. Helmets will be provided; you may like to bring your own – you know it fits.

If bringing your own cycle please ensure that it is in good order and has a wide range of gears, and inform us of the tyre size so that suitable spares may be carried. At times we will be several days from a cycle shop.

Where we sleep

We try to offer small rural inns and hotels whereever possible , chosen for their character, location and gastronomy . From boutique-style inns to luxury villas, you’ll always experience something typical for the region you are staying . Some tours include an agritouristic farm stay  where you will meet the local family serving home made food and local wines .

SITNICA uses a respectable standard of accommodation at a very competitive price.
Accommodation is based on twin share or double rooms. Single accommodation is available on payment of a supplement .
We cannot guarantee a single room or a twin room on all our trips each night .

Apres-cycling thing !
Do you like to involve yourself into local peoples’ daily chat !? Try a cold beer or a goldencoloured glass of Malvazija wine on a typical paved medieval square in one of the numerous , picturesque hilltop towns .

From a simple picnic  of local cheeses and cold meats  to a three-course dinner at a fish restaurant  and from that rich breakfast in the hotel to the home made lunch in one of the typical konobas with fine local wine .
We are committed to let you experince the sincere cuisine of the region .
The regions we visit are synonym for good wine due to man’s hard work, naturally, but first of all natural features that guarantee high-quality grapes. Those are position, soil, climate and relief, since each contributes to a certain extent to the charm of good wine.
Cycle along vineyards of the Istrian peninsula and flavor the past . Visit private wine cellars or small beer breweries  so you can hear stories from locals and understand better how they try to survive in their surroundings .

Accommodation is clean and simple. You’ll mainly stay in small, locally-run,
2-4 star hotels and guesthouses, which reflect the character of the area.
Breakfasts are included and generally are buffets that take your active program into consideration.
Lunches are included only with Guided Tours , not within self Guided Tours .
We will provide these taking in consideration every little detail and
variety . Sometimes we will sit down in a local konoba for home made delicacies .
Dinners are usually not included except sometimes a tradtional farewell dinner or a welcome evening meal.
Suggestions for places to eat will be included in your trip notes
and will also be discussed during welcome briefing .
A HB = Half Board option includes your evening meals each night , usually a 3 course meal .
An endless supply of seafood , truffles , Italian based homemade pasta meals and nostalgic old
grilled meat based meals give you a big mix which should satisfy your palates .
Vegatarians will find their satisfaction too as there is an endless supply of vegetables ,
truffles combined or not with different pasta based plates .
Just indicate if you should have any dietary requirements .

What our clients say

Hi Alen.
Wanted to drop a quick email to thank you and your helpful crew for such a great trip. It far exceeded my expectations and for all who have asked, I have highly recommended you and your company.
Hope you are not working too hard and enjoying the warm weather which I am sure you are still experiencing.
Be sure to keep my place in mind when you and your family come to Canada for a visit. You would love the Gulf Islands. All the best. Diane Swindell The Big Adriatic Tour 2013.

Hi Alen

A note from us to thank you for creating a wonderful trip. Once home I looked through some of the information provided by other tour companies. With the insights gained from having now been to Croatia, I am convinced we picked the right fellow to plan our cycle vacation. Your routes were great and varied enough that I feel I have a good sense of the country. Your trip notes were fabulous and made finding the route easy. Also thanks for being so patient in answering all of our many questions. All in all a memorable trip. If you ever want to refer to us for an endorsement, don't hesitate to contact us.

We also still extend an invitation to you and family to visit us and experience cycling and sightseeing in Canada.

Jean and Jim
Th Ottawa group cycling the Croatian coastline down to Dubrovnik , September 2013.
Hi Alen.

We are back home and continuing on with our cycling, although the few hills we have here look really small compared to the ones we did in Croatia.
Thanks for the great trip and your cycle route selection certainly gave us a good overview of the diverse landscape in Croatia. Lynda and I really enjoyed the trip and we now have many fond memories that will encourage us to continue on with our cycle trips. On our last day in Dubrovnik we watched a cruise ship come into port and we both said "not for us, cycling is way more fun and as long as we can cycle, we will.
Your hotel selection for the trip was awesome and we were always amazed at how helpful the staff at the hotels were. Good accommodations, great food and excellent support along the way, we couldn't ask for a better trip.

Hi Alen.
I would just like to thank you again for making the CCCTS bike tour in Croatia such a successful experience. I had loads of fun - "best time ever”. You were such an organized and professional guide. I was super impressed with your attention to detail and how accommodating you were to all of our idiosyncrasies (sorry about the fish heads). Thank you also to Damir and Goran. They were awesome also. I think Croatia is an absolutely beautiful country and hope to visit again some day. Thank you again, Lynne

Hi Alen.
We had a really great time and thought the routes, equipment and organisation were all fantastic so happy to put a review on there when you've got the site set up.
Thanks. Noel
